Our Owners

MNPA is wholly owned by the Merchant Navy Officers Pension Fund, an industry-wide scheme with around £2.8 billion in assets.  We started life in the 1930s as their in-house pension department and became a third party administrator in 1986.  Since then, MNPA has grown to become an award winning third party administrator with responsibility for administering nearly 455,000 members in 50 schemes on behalf of prestigious clients who share our ethos and values.

Our owner wants long-term capital growth and is not unduly influenced by short-term profitability.  Their stated objectives for MNPA are to:

• Deliver a quality administration service for their members
• Maintain their reputation by providing the same quality administration service to all clients
• Maximise MNPA’s capital value over the long term
