Secretary (Technical Team)
About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen working as a secretary for our technical pensions team. The role focuses on coordinating the team’s internal and external commitments through diary management, coordinating tasks, following up on action points and managing brought forward systems. This role involves developing relationships across the business to support the team in delivering on key deadlines and projects.
The key areas of responsibility include:
- organising and maintaining diaries and making appointments
- contacting people that are required to complete tasks and collate information/decisions ready for a meeting
- organising meetings and providing the Head of Technical with accurate information so that he/she is well-prepared for meetings
- dealing with incoming email and other correspondence
- liaising and effectively working with colleagues across the business to achieve the objectives of the technical department
About You
You will demonstrate:
- Prior experience in a similar role within the finance or pension industry is advantageous
- Meticulous and accurate (attention to detail)
- Fully competent in the use of MS office suite - Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook
- Proactive and able to use initiative appropriately, for example, to improve administrative system
- Have a “can-do” attitude and be self motivated
- Ability to schedule work effectively and meet task deadlines
- A team player with excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build relationships and ensure issues are handled sensitively
- Flexible and imaginative approach to work
- Consistently maintain high quality of work
- Professional telephone manner
- Adaptable and flexible to ever changing business needs
Location
Leatherhead
This role is a part-time position and MNPA will consider a range of flexible working arrangements.
