Blue Peter Badge for Client Liaison Manager Andrew Griffiths
As all avid watchers of Blue Peter will know the three presenters Andy, Gethin and Zoe are regularly set challenges by viewers.
So where does our Andrew fit in? Well, presenter Andy Akinwolere was given the challenge of learning 3 technical acrobatic elements which he then had to perform during a live show.
With the help of the Spelthorne Acrobatic Gymnastics team who are coached by our Andrew. Andy attended a number of their training sessions and following an afternoon of rehearsals with Andrew and members of the gymnastics team the routine was performed live on 20 May.
Commenting on the challenge Andrew said “he was thrilled to help with the challenge and thought that Andy had acquitted himself very well in the short time he had to learn the elements”. In recognition of their contribution Andrew and the team members each received the coveted Blue Peter Badge.
Andrew has been coaching for 10 years and currently spends approx 17 hours per week coaching the SAGT.
